Running to raise funds For urgently needed lifesaving humidicribs
I’m taking part in the Premmie Marathon Challenge. Over the month of November I will run 42kms in order to raise funds for urgently needed humidicribs. As some of you may know, Otis and Raina were both born prematurely and spent the first 6 weeks of their lives in a humidicrib. Had it not been for this specialised equipment, I would hate to think where we would be today.
By donating even the smallest amount you will help me to raise funds for urgently needed humidicribs for the Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney, and the Alice Springs Hospital neonatal units, giving hundreds of premature babies a better chance of survival.
Premmie marathin challenge completeThankyou to everyone who has donated to this very special cause. I finished my 42km today with a 10km lap of west footscray and it felt great!
7kms downHi All,
Why am I doing this?Otis was born at 29 weeks and 3 days, almost 2 and a half months early. To say we were surprised is an understatement. I had always said that I didn't really have a specific "birth plan" in mind, but this was definitely not what Adrian or I had in mind!
Wow!I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has donated already, I am speechless! With your help I have already raised over $500!
