Help us give premature babies a better chance of survival
Our Reason(s) behind the Run
This year, I’m lacing up my runners for my second marathon alongside my husband Declan, as we take on the Chicago Marathon—and this run is deeply personal.
Both of our children, Ari and Quinn, were born prematurely. Each arrived earlier than expected, each spending a month in special care. Those weeks were filled with beeping monitors, tiny nappies, overwhelming gratitude, and constant hope. Thanks to the extraordinary care they received, Ari and Quinn are now thriving, healthy little humans—and we never take that for granted.
Running for premature babies is our way of celebrating Ari and Quinn—and honouring every tiny fighter who begins their life in an incubator instead of their parents’ arms. It’s for the families living minute by minute in neonatal wards, and for the medical teams who give everything to give these babies a chance.
Every kilometre we run, and every dollar raised, supports premature babies and their families when they need it most. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping give more premature babies the chance to grow, thrive, and come home.
