My Updates

$1000!

I’m absolutely buzzing to say that I’ve surpassed my fundraising goal of $1000 for Running for premature babies! Thank you so much to the family and friends that have donated & supported me, I appreciate you so much!

I’ll be walking 100KM over the month of November. This is for Ivy, Quinn and Aurora and all the sweet babes born prematurely.

The fundraiser will stay open until the end of November, so if you are able and would like to donate, there’s still time! Let’s see how far we can take this!

Blown Away

I've been absolutely blown away by the support I have received from family, friends and locals. Thank you for supporting me and this amazing cause.

A huge thank you goes out to Kunal at Cantina61 for not only his personal contribution but also on Sunday 13 August, donating $1 from every large coffee sold to the cause. It was a wonderful sunny day, I'm so grateful to the family and friends who came out to support myself and Cantina61. That day we raised $116!

My Preemie Girls and our Sleeping Beauty

In 2014, my husband and I were blessed with the news that we were expecting identical triplet girls. At 26 weeks gestation, I was told to pack a bag and that I would be on bedrest at the hospital for a week, then I would deliver. At that pre admittance scan, I was told that one of my babies hearts had stopped beating.

I continued the pregnancy, and went on to deliver all three girls at 34 weeks. We named our girls Ivy, Quinn and our babe born sleeping we named Aurora after Sleeping Beauty.

Ivy and Quinn were born at 1.95KG and 1.80KG respectively. They spent one night in neonates at Flinders Medical Centre, then went on to spend six weeks in the Special Care Nursery at Flinders Private Hospital.

Leaving them behind, felt like I was leaving my heart and soul behind but I know they were in the best possible care. I am eternally grateful for the care and support we were given while Ivy & Quinn were in hospital.
