A Will is an important document that ensures your loved ones are taken care of. If you don't have a Will when you pass away, state government will determine how your estate is distributed, which may not be how you intended.

Gifts in Wills, also know as bequests, are future donations to a charity/ies of your choice.
How do I leave money to charity in my Will?
You can write a free Will using our link on this page. There is an option to leave a Gift in Will to Running for Premature Babies, should you choose.
We recommend speaking with your solicitor if you have a complicated estate.
What wording should I use in my Will when leaving a gift?
When leaving a gift in your Will, it’s important to use the correct wording. You need to include our charity name, ABN, and address. You can use the below example.
“After the payment of all my debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and all duties, taxes and charges payable on my Estate at my death, I (insert name here) give the Running for Premature Babies Foundation (ABN: 66 618 841 768) currently of PO Box 113, Coogee, 2034.
- The whole of my estate
- (insert number) % of my estate
- The residue of my estate
- The sum of $ (insert amount)
- My (Details of a particular asset, such as shares or property)
to be appiled for general purposes free of duties and taxes payable upon death. I declare that the receipt of an authorised officer of the Running for Premature Foundation will be a sufficient discharge to my executor(s) or trustee."
Do I need to let you know if I’ve left a Gift?
You don’t need to let us know if you’ve left a Gift in your Will, but we would love to be able to thank you for the difference you’re making to the lives of premature babies.
Is Running For Premature Babies a registered Charity?
Running for Premature Babies is a registered Charity, which means that no tax is paid on the Gift you leave to us in your Will.
I've already made a Will, do I need to make a new one?
Your Will is a record of your wishes, at the point in time that it was written. It's important to review your Will regularly, and when your circumstances change (you buy a property, etc.), so it accurately reflects your wishes. If your current Will reflects your wishes, and you just want to make some small additions or changes, your solicitor can help you update it.

PHOEBE'S TRIPLETS
Phoebe first heard about RFPB when her own triplets were in the NICU at the Royal Hospital for Women, and Phoebe read the plaques on the equipment keeping her trio alive. Phoebe says, “reading about Sophie's journey was both devastating and a huge support for me at that time - knowing other families had endured prematurity, the uncertainty of not knowing if their children would survive their early start to life, and if they did, what complications they would be left with.
I found a lot of comfort running with others in the team who had shared the journey of NICU and completed my first half marathon with you when the babies were 13 months old. I've since run with RFPB 6 times in the past 9 years. It’s such an honour to be able to join the incredible community that you have fostered and be one in the sea of purple running the streets of Sydney every Autumn. Even when we were overseas we still proudly wore the purple shirts when entering a local fun run for the Rotary club in Kilifi, Kenya, and my youngest, our surprise 4th 'baby' (Felix) continues to wear a purple shirt absolutely every day to preschool - its his favourite! The triplets are now thriving almost-10-year-olds who are acutely aware of how lucky they are and they are very keen to join the RFPB team themselves in the coming years. They've run the RFPB Kids fun run every year (aside from the year we were in Kenya) and have proudly held a few fundraising stalls in our little community in Clovelly.”
