Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely. This November, people all over the country will be walking, running and riding to help give these tiny fighters a better chance at life.
This year, our family will be taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge in loving memory of our precious Evalyn Rose, who was born at just 25 weeks and lost her 6week battle.Â
Whether you choose 71 km to represent the 71 babies born prematurely every day, 142 km, 213 km, or simply commit to moving your body in whatever way you can, every kilometre makes a difference.
Walk, run, hike, ride, swim, jump… it doesn’t matter how you move or how far you go. Every age, every ability and every effort is welcome.
By moving together and raising funds for life-saving neonatal equipment, we can help give more premature babies the chance to come home to the people who love them most.
Most importantly, we want every family walking the difficult journey of prematurity to know they are not alone.
