Running the Toohey Trail for Premmie Babies
Hi, we're Albert and Declan, a father-son from Brisbane running to raise funds for lifesaving research and care for premature babies.
We're running the Toohey Trail Run, one of the best trail runs in Brisbane. It's a tricky course, but one we're doing for a very good cause.
This is a personal issue for us - Declan was born at 662g at 27 weeks
and we can only run together like this today because of the work that
was done to make sure premmie babies had the support they needed to
survive and thrive.
The care and equipment that your donation funds spell the difference between life and death for babies born pre-term. Sadly, there are still many hospitals in Australia and in our broader Oceania region that simply don't have the equipment, personnel or funding to give premmature babies the care that they need. Running for premature babies is working to end that and that makes us very proud to be fundraising with them.
This is our second fundraiser with Running for Premmie Babies but it won't be our last.
Even a small donation of $5 adds up so thank you for everything you give to help this very worthy cause.
