Light a Lantern 2026

This Chinese New Year, I’m lighting a lantern for premature babies

This Chinese New Year, I’m taking part in Light a Lantern, a 16‑day walking and fundraising challenge that brings family, friends, and communities together to support premature babies.

I’m walking 8,000 steps each day and raising funds to help provide life‑saving neonatal equipment for babies in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across Australia. Every step I take symbolically lights a lantern of hope and support for families facing some of their hardest moments.

What I love most about this challenge is that it’s something we can do together. Taking part with family, friends, or colleagues turns our daily steps into a shared celebration—adding colour, joy, sparkle, and purpose to the Chinese New Year season. If you'd like to join me, please register here.

If you’re able to, I’d be so grateful for your support through a tax‑deductible donation. Every donation helps light more sybolic lanterns and make a real, practical difference for tiny babies who need urgent care.

Thank you so much for your support, and I wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, and prosperous Chinese New Year.
