About Running for Premature Babies
Running for Premature Babies was set up in 2007 by Sophie Smith after she and her late husband Ash lost their first-born triplet sons, Henry, Jasper and Evan, following an extremely premature birth at 24 weeks.
Since then, thousands of people have run for the cause, raising more than $3.5 million for lifesaving neonatal equipment and research giving thousands of premature babies a better chance of survival.
The Running for Premature Babies foundation is a registered Australian Charity supporting neonatal units in hospitals around the country.
Challenge yourself to get out and run (or walk) a marathon in either a day, a week, or a month this November and give premature babies a better chance of survival.
The concept is simple...
You choose the timeframe to complete your 42km marathon during November. Choose a day, a week or a month. Log the kms you run (or walk) to achieve your 42km goal within your set time frame. Track your progress online through your personal fundraising page.
Everyone who raises $50 or more will receive a special finisher’s medal, as well as more rewards for our higher fundraisers.
This challenge is open to everyone - whatever your age or fitness level. It's your challenge, complete it your way!
