For Henry! What a trooper

This is so close to my heart and I feel like I’m right back in the Special Care Nursery typing this.
My beautiful boy, Henry, has just turned 1 (30 September) and what a year it’s been!
Little one came into the world via emergency cesarean section at 33 weeks gestation and weighing just 1560g. I was beside myself with love and joy, fear and more fear and then some additional fear for good measure. We didn’t know what to expect, how he will manage being in the world so early, or when we would be able to take our little love home.
The Doctors, Nurses and all other staff at Gosford Hospital were absolutely phenomenal- it was a really difficult time but they made each day a bit more bearable.
I would make my bed each morning and perfectly time my pumping sessions around my kanga cuddles and NGT feeds for Henry. The days were long but the weeks truly flew by - and although it was challenging, I am just so grateful to have had all of that support around me as a new mum.

This will be a regular fixture in my events calendar for years to come and I hope to kick off my maiden challenge with a bang.

For those that can afford a dollar or two, I am immensely grateful.
For those that can’t- I am equally grateful that you’re following along anyway and morale support is just as valuable.

If I can get to $250 and claim my finished medal (for my growing collection- who am I?!) that would be AMAZING.

I hope to smash out this month and get the cheeky 200km no problem.

I love you all- Chris, you’re my world and we are so lucky to have Handsome Henry absolutely smashing his milestones and growing into a cheeky young lad! Xx

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.

I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.

Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.

Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too! Simply choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies.
