When workplaces come together amazing things happen

Macquarie Private Bank's "Running for Dummies" team showing that a little friendly competition can make a big impact. Last year, colleagues came together to walk, run and fundraise for Australia's tiniest babies, proving that the Premmie Marathon Challenge is a great way to build connection, wellbeing and purpose across the workplace.

5 REASONS TO

Get your workplace active for premature babies

1. Super Inclusive: The Premmie Marathon Challenge is open to everyone - whatever your team's age, ability or fitness level. It's your challenge, complete it your way!

2. Team Connection: Healthy competition and shared goals bring people together

3. Do it Anywhere: Engage remote and hybrid teams for collaboration towards a common goal

4. Support Babies: Help fund neonatal equipment to give premature babies a better chance of survival

5. It's free to register: And there's no special equipment or complicated set-up. Each person can use our mobile app to track kms and fundraising

YOUR ORGANISATION'S IMPACT WILL

Help save premature babies this November

November is Prematurity Awareness Month and your organisation's efforts will fund much-needed neonatal equipment for hospitals right across Australia. This equipment will help improve and save the lives of the 1 in 10 babies born prematurely in Australia each year.

And, every teammate who joins the Challenge will:

✅ Move more

✅ Connect with colleagues

✅ Build healthier habits

✅ Have fun and a bit of banter

✅ Support Australia's tiniest babies

The Running for Premature Babies Story

IN MEMORY OF HENRY, JASPER & EVAN SMITH

Running for Premature Babies was founded by Sophie Smith in 2007 after she and her late husband Ash lost all three of their prematurely born triplets. Henry was born at 21 weeks, too early for medical intervention to save him, and he lived for one precious hour. Jasper and Evan were born at 24 weeks. Huge efforts were made to save their lives but tragically they were unable to overcome their prematurity. Evan lived for ten days and Jasper, pictured here, lived for 58 days.

Running for Premature Babies has to date raised over $12 million, provided over 170 pieces of life saving neonatal equipment and helped save the lives of over 21,250 babies. The Premmie Marathon Challenge ensures Henry, Jasper & Evan’s legacy lives on.
