I'm running 71km to celebrate my baby, Dustin.
Anyone who knows me knows I am by NO means a runner! 😂 In fact, I couldn't even tell you the last time I broke into a little trot, let alone went for an actual run! But this November, I'm challenging myself to run 71km to help raise money for lifesaving equipment for Premmie babies. This cause is incredibly close to my heart. My beautiful boy Dustin was born at just 28 weeks and 4 days and spent the first two months of his life in the NICU. I've experienced firsthand the emotional rollercoaster of having a premature baby. The fear, the uncertainty, the tiny victories and the setbacks. I've also witnessed the incredible work of the doctors and nurses who care for our tiniest fighters. So while 71km might not sound like much to some, for this very unfit, non-running mumma, it's going to be one hell of a challenge! 😂 But if my little boy could fight as hard as he did, surely his mum can manage a few kilometres.

Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely.
This November, I'm taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge to give these babies the best chance at life.
The funds I raise will help Running for Premature Babies provide life-saving neonatal equipment for hospitals around Australia, giving premature and critically ill babies the chance to grow stronger and go home with their families.
