Hugo and Oliver

On the 13th of September 2025, our lives changed forever when our beautiful twins, Hugo and Oliver, made their grand entrance into the world at just 26 weeks and 3 days gestation.

My partner Lisa was admitted to the Royal Women’s Hospital 3 weeks before the boys were born. For weeks we’d been anxiously counting the days, holding our breath through each scare and tough conversation. Between the tears, the uncertainty, and the “viability” pamphlets, we quickly learned how much difference a single day can make.

Since their arrival, our boys have been cared for around the clock in the NICU, and we are endlessly grateful for the incredible doctors, nurses, care team and hospital staff who give so much of themselves to help our little fighters grow stronger every day.

After only 11 days together, Oliver was transferred to the Royal Children’s NICU for some extra support, while Hugo continues to make steady progress at the Royal Women's NICU. Along the way, we’ve met countless parents, nurses, and doctors whose stories, kindness and compassion have kept us putting one foot in front of the other.

Watching our boys show such courage and resilience (including big brother Stefan) has inspired me to give back to the services that make a life-saving difference for families like ours. This month, I’m setting myself the goal to walk/jog/run 300km (10km a day) and raise $1,000 for premature babies and the amazing teams who care for them.

Every little bit helps — thank you for your support for Hugo, Oliver, and all the tiny fighters out there.

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.

I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.

Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.

Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too! Simply choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies.
