Premmie Marathon Challenge 2026

Running for My son and all of the tiny Premature Babies

I’m taking on this running challenge to raise funds and awareness for premature babies, because this cause is incredibly close to my heart.

My son’s journey began much earlier than we ever expected. At just 30 weeks pregnant, I experienced a placental abruption, a terrifying and unexpected complication that meant my baby needed to be delivered early.

He was born at just 30 weeks at Townsville University Hospital, entering the world far earlier than he should have. Those first moments were filled with fear, uncertainty, and emotions that are hard to put into words. Instead of the pregnancy journey I had imagined, we found ourselves relying on the incredible doctors, nurses, and neonatal team who cared for him every step of the way.

Having a premature baby changes you. You learn a strength you never knew you had, you celebrate milestones that others may take for granted, and you understand just how important support and research for premature babies truly is.

I’m running this challenge for my son and for every tiny fighter who starts life in a NICU. Every donation helps support premature babies and their families during some of the hardest moments they will ever face.

Thank you for supporting this cause that means so much to our family 🤍

Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely.

This November, I'm taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge to give these babies the best chance at life.

The funds I raise will help Running for Premature Babies provide life-saving neonatal equipment for hospitals around Australia, giving premature and critically ill babies the chance to grow stronger and go home with their families.

If you're able to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps fund the equipment and research that gives premature babies a better chance of survival and quality of life.

Thank you for supporting my challenge and helping Australia's tiniest babies. 💜
