Our Story

Our little Sadie Mae was born at 31+5 weeks due to severe pre-eclampsia, weighing only 1462 grams. We spent a long 38 days in the NICU at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The care we received from the staff was amazing, and we knew she was in good hands from the get go. She required oxygen support for the first 4 days, was incubated for 20 days, required blue light therapy on and off for the first 9 days, and had a feeding tube for 37 days. Without the equipment available in Australian NICUs, we wouldn’t be where we are today. This equipment saves lives. 

This fundraiser is one that hits home, and knowing the impact it can have on premmies is what makes it even more valuable. 

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
