I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge
When I was pregnant with Lucy, the thought of having a premmie baby, especially one that would need to spend a significant amount of time in the NICU never crossed my mind. Sure I was worried about all the things that could happen and if something would go wrong but I never expected things to turn out the way they did.
We were so lucky to not only have the amazing support, care and professionalism of the Neonatal staff but also access to some equipment that was life saving for our little Goose. We are so grateful and want to give back so others who ended up in situations like us can get the help they need.
Sure while I may not be back to running marathons (well half marathons) again this November I’ll be clocking up my kms walking in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival. Lucy will of course join me along the way.
