Going through our own journey with Vincent and Dante opened our eyes to just how many families are affected by prematurity. It’s not something you really think about until you’re suddenly living it yourself, and you realise just how much it can impact not only the babies, but their parents, siblings and everyone who loves them.
Having experienced this firsthand, and knowing that some of our friends and their families have also been through their own NICU journeys, this cause means so much more to us than we could ever put into words.
We’re taking part not only for our own boys and everything they’ve overcome, but for all the little fighters and their families who have faced, or are currently facing, the uncertainty, fear and challenges that come with having a premature baby.
We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing nurses, doctors and technology that helped give Vincent and Dante the chance to come home with us. We know how much that support can mean to a family during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Every little bit of support helps, whether that’s donating, sharing our fundraiser, or simply taking part and walking alongside us to raise awareness. Every step counts, and every bit of support helps us recognise the little fighters and the families behind their journeys.
