Our Story

Our beautiful little girl was born 6 weeks early due to "intrauterine growth restriction", which means she'd basically decided she'd grown as much as she was going to and wanted out!

After a "semi-emergency" C-section, we welcomed her into the world on the 9th Dec, 2023. We spent 19 days in the Special Care Nursery in two different hospitals. She was perfect and healthy, just small, weighing 1.8kg (4 lb 2 oz) and measuring 41cm (16.1").

We were able to bring her home for Christmas lunch, but had to take her back that afternoon. She was finally discharged on the 28th Dec.

This was one of the most stressful periods of our lives, and we were the lucky ones! We hope by raising this money we'll be able to help with research and medical equipment that will enable others to have the same outcome we did - and end up with a happy, healthy, cheeky toddler.
