This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge
During my time as a paediatric registrar at Dubbo Base Hospital (back in my younger days), I experienced many worrying moments whilst working to stabilise sick babies and waiting for them to be evacuated to Sydney for further care. So when I found out that funds raised through the Premmie Marathon Challenge helps purchase vital medical equipment for premature babies in rural Australian hospitals, I didn’t hesitate to sign up for this Challenge.
This November, I’ll be clocking up the kilometres to raise money for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance at life.
