I'm walking 71km to celebrate my baby, Zakaias.
At 22 I went into spontaneous labour with our first born son. 30 weeks and 3 days he was born, 1830g small. He needed endless amounts of help. Cpap, resuscitation a few times, he had brain bleeds, a tummy infection which he had surgery for. It was the scariest moment of our lives. But today he is 9 years old, strongest boy we know. His had his fair share of challenges in life but still thrives. Im not a walker or runner but I felt the need to do this for all 3 of my sons. All born premature im 3 months post-partum with our 3rd son and luckily we made it to 37 weeks before he joined us earth side. We will forever be thankful to Royal Brisbane hospital NICU for all the care they gave our son. 💜

Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely.
This November, I'm taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge to give these babies the best chance at life.
The funds I raise will help Running for Premature Babies provide life-saving neonatal equipment for hospitals around Australia, giving premature and critically ill babies the chance to grow stronger and go home with their families.
If you're able to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps fund the equipment and research that gives premature babies a better chance of survival and quality of life.
Thank you for supporting my challenge and helping Australia's tiniest babies. 💜
