This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

Holaaaa, 

I’m Julieta and last year my son Austin was born at 28 weeks and 1 day, weighing 905g. At only 20 days of life he had to go under medical procedure. He had been in theatres four times in a short period of six months. 

To be honest I don’t know how to start with this, all I can say is I’m joining this project to give back all the help and support we got last year from March till September in RPAH and Westmead Hospitals, thanks to the amazing team of professionals and equipments hospitals have I can hug, laugh and play with him.

I have the strength and bravery thanks to my little one in doing this amazing challenge that hopefully the outcome will be beneficial to provide an equipment to future premature babies. 

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.

Holaaaa,

Soy Julieta y el año pasado mi hijo Austin nació a las 28 semanas y 1 día, con un peso de 905g. Con solo 20 días de vida tuvo que someterse a un procedimiento quirúrgico. Había estado en el quirófano cuatro veces en un corto período de seis meses.

Para ser honesta, no sé cómo empezar con esto, lo único que puedo decir es que me uno a este proyecto para devolver toda la ayuda y el apoyo que obtuvimos el año pasado desde Marzo a Septiembre en los hospitales RPAH y Westmead, gracias al increíble equipo de profesionales y equipamientos que tienen los hospitales, puedo abrazarlo, reír y jugar con él.

Tengo la fuerza y la valentía gracias a mi pequeño para hacer este increíble desafío que espero que el resultado sea beneficioso para proporcionar un equipamiento para futuros bebés prematuros.

Estaré registrando mis kms en el Premmie Marathon Challenge para recaudar fondos para equipos neonatales que salvarán vidas y darán a los bebés enfermos y prematuros una mejor oportunidad de supervivencia.
