Brayden’s Brave Steps
World Prematurity Day is coming up, and this year I’ll be walking and running to raise money in honour of my beautiful boy, Brayden my tiny miracle who changed my world.
Brayden was born at just 27 weeks, weighing only 930 grams. I’ll never forget seeing him so small, surrounded by wires and machines, fighting so hard to stay here with me. He spent three long months in hospital, was intubated, and even had surgery for a pneumothorax yet through every setback, he showed more strength and courage than I ever thought possible from someone so tiny.
Those months in the NICU were the hardest of my life. I felt helpless at times, but I also witnessed the most incredible fight for life and the compassion of the doctors and nurses who became like family. Because of them, I got to bring my baby home and for that, I’ll forever be grateful.
I’m taking part in this fundraiser to give back, to honour Brayden’s strength, and to help other little fighters and families who are walking the same road we once did. Every step I take is for the babies born too soon, too small, and fighting so hard to stay. ?
Your support or donation means more than words can say from one mum of a miracle to another family still hoping for theirs. ?
