Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely.
This November, I'm taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge to give these babies the best chance at life.
Both our beautiful boys, Jasper and Cormac, were born prematurely, and this immensely shaped our experiences of pregnancy, birth and parenting.
No one anticipates the start of their child's life in NICU or Special Cares. It really is a surreal, life changing and overwhelming experience, and no matter how premature your child is, this experience impacts you long after they have been discharged. Jasper was born at 27 weeks, and Cormac only recently at 34 weeks, and as such, this cause is all the more significant to our family.
The funds I raise will help Running for Premature Babies provide life-saving neonatal equipment for hospitals around Australia, giving premature and critically ill babies the chance to grow stronger and go home with their families.
