The pressure is on for me to clock up those Kms now!

Ari

Our second son, Ari was born due to a medical emergency, at 31 weeks. He was a tiny 1.1kg and required immediate life saving measures. We were incredibly lucky in the circumstances of his birth, and the days that followed, that he survived and has grown to be a three-year-old who is full of life, love and plenty of attitude. We have the talented nurses, doctors and availability of life-saving equipment to thank for keeping Ari here with us. 

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival. I will be running, walking and biking a total of 100kms!

$42 - Could provide a jaundiced baby with access to a phototherapy light for 3.5 weeks. Jaundice is very common in premature babies and if left untreated can cause brain damage
