Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely and Layla was one of them.

We are walking 71km this November to raise money for the 71 premature babies born each day in Australia. 

Layla was born six weeks premature via emergency caesarean. Layla needed CPR and intubation to take her first breaths. The five weeks that followed in NICU and Special Care Nursery changed us forever. While our journey was short compared to the 100+ days many families endure, we know just how much those first moments, days and weeks can take. 

We’re running for Layla, for the babies fighting battles from their very first breath, and for the families beside them.

The funds we raise will provide life-saving neonatal equipment for hospitals around Australia, giving premature and critically ill babies the chance to grow stronger and go home with their families.
