Our first
My wife and I had our first child prematurely. She was 26 weeks and was taken to Caboolture Hospital and was told she had Preeclampsia. She was going to be moved to the Old Royal Women's Hospital in Brisbane and found out she going to have the baby. In the time leading up to that she had 2 shots of steroids for the babies Lungs. So later that night we had a healthy baby girl 1 pound 10 ounces. We where one of the lucky ones she had no real problems just the usual premi stuff. We then had the big move to the New Royal Women's Hospital and that was nice the premature babies where the last to come over. After a little time she was getting bigger so we could move back to Caboolture. That's where we ended up until her due date when we went home. Always wanted to do something to give back so this it. She's now 25 healthy and active has always liked running she's done several marathons and even inspired her old dad to do one. This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge
I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.
Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.
Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too! Simply choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies.
