From 29 Weeks to 7 Years: Lorenzo’s Premmie Journey

My son Lorenzo was born 29 weeks premature at The Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, Melbourne. His arrival was the beginning of a journey filled with uncertainty, fear and so many challenges. At the time, I had no idea what the future would look like or how far he would come.

Watching him grow from such a tiny premature baby into the strong, amazing 7-year-old he is today is an absolute blessing. He has come such a long way, and every milestone, every achievement and every little step forward means so much more knowing where his journey began.

I’m incredibly proud of the little boy he has become. Lorenzo is a true little fighter, and seeing how far he has come is something I will forever be grateful for. 💜
