Premmie Marathon Challenge 2025

Little miss violet

Violet was a fighter from day one. Laying there on the table with my open incision, she was crying from the second she got out. I didn’t know what I was expecting but I thought she would’ve needed to be resuscitated.

At 33 weeks I would never of expected for her to be so strong, I thought I would have lost her. If it wasn’t for the amazing equipment and medical teams we have today she wouldn’t have made it.

Hours after having 7 layers sliced and stitched back up I pushed myself to go see her in the special care nursery, I wheeled myself and even walked (which did take me quiet a bit to get to the special care nursery even though it was down the hall) I just needed to see her. To actually see how she survived.

If it then wasn’t for the PIPER team that transferred her to the Royal children’s hospital to keep her stable it definitely would’ve been a different outcome.

I am so grateful for all the nurses and doctors that helped save her, they will forever be in my heart.

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

The Premmie Marathon Challenge is something I hold close to my heart. Without this charity and everyone’s donations and support I don’t know what our NICUs across Australia would look like.

Without the equipment that I’m raising money for, my daughter that was born at 33+5 weeks would’ve had a different outcome.

I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.

Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.

Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too! Simply choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies.
