Georgia and Poppi
This November Poppi and I will be clocking up 100 kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
As many of you are aware, our little Poppi girl was unexpectedly born at 33 and 0 weeks. The following 4 weeks at the hospital were incredibly scary for us as a family - however, Poppi received so much love, care and attention from all the staff in the NICU and Special Care Nursery and this made the situation a little more bearable.
Poppi spent some time in a humidicrib and required constant support to feed through a nasogastric tube for the first few weeks. We are eternally grateful she was able to have access to all this equipment and get a good start to life.
