Starting our walk early!!
We are heading out for our first walk this afternoon!! Starting a month early let’s clock up as many KM’s on our “run” for premature babies ?My reason for walking
As you may know we are so lucky to have our beautiful boy Ollie. What some of you don’t know is the journey to get him here.
Born preemie, at one day old Ollie was transported via PIPER to the NICU at the Royal Women’s Hospital. Ollie was in a critical condition and on life support with a pneumothorax. This was the scariest day of our lives and we had know idea what Ollie’s future looked like.
The care we recieved for our beautiful boy, the love and kindness shown to us by all the medical staff involved at both Ballarat Base and the Royal Women’s meant that we got to bring our boy back home.
Without life saving equipment like the ventilator, we wouldn’t have our beautiful missing puzzle coming home to join our ever grateful family.
This November, I’m making a difference. Ollie and I will be aiming to walk 42KM to raise funds for premature babies and to aid in the purchase of life saving ventilation equipment. If you can spare even a dollar or two, we’d be forever grateful. If you find yourself free one day and want to join us on a walk, we’d love the support and company.
This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge
I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.
Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.
Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too! Simply choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies.
