Jensens story

As a mum, I understand how hard it is to have a child born 3 months prematurely and spend most of his newborn life in John Hunter children hosptial. Your whole world falls apart and you lose control of everything around you . There were so many ups and downs of times where we think wasn’t gonna make it. But without the generosity and the helpful staff in Nicu . We wouldn’t have Jensen here today. Jensen is now four years old. Still fighting Major challenges in life, Including permanent disabilities. There are times where we feel like we still haven’t left that room in nicu.

However, throughout the darkness we go through, Jensen is a happy little kid. He loves his sport he loves going to preschool. He loves his family, specially his big sister Lily. And last year he was very lucky to meet his idol Lachy wiggle. Lachy has been an inspiration to Jensen throughout all his therapy, his appointments hospital stays, Lachy has always been there for him to bring that smile on that little boy’s face. Purple is life for him. He believes if Lachy can do anything Jensen can do anything.

I just thought maybe doing this charity just for a little bit of fun but also to raise awareness that I know I’m not the only parent who feels like this and hopefully it’ll help another baby had the same gift of life that Jensen was given.

Every dollar counts even if it was a small amount it would go a long way to help a little baby in need.

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
