This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

This November, I’ll be walking 200 km in the Premmie Marathon Challenge in loving memory of our beautiful son, Cillian, and in deep gratitude for the incredible expertise and care given to both our sons by the amazing NICU team.

We want to honour Cillian and celebrate his life by giving back to neonatal intensive care units across Australia — helping ensure hospitals have the best equipment to continue their lifesaving work for babies and families who need it most.

Every step I take is in Cillian’s honour and for all the tiny fighters who begin their lives in NICU.

$42 - Could provide a jaundiced baby with access to a phototherapy light for 3.5 weeks. Jaundice is very common in premature babies and if left untreated can cause brain damage

$60 - Could provide a technologically advanced humidicrib for a sick or premature baby for 5 days. These humidicribs have been described as ‘the next best thing to the womb’

$187 - Could provide a life-saving resuscitation cot for 23 babies born in distress and needing assistance to breathe.
