My story <3
Hi my name is Kirra. On the 30th of march 2025, I had gone into labour. I was 22 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my baby girl Amira Williams. They had diagnosed me with cervical incompetence with a suspicion of pre eclampsia as well. They had given me a medication to try and slow down or stop the contractions but unfortunately they didnβt work. The following morning the contractions got worse so they checked and said I was at 7cm dilated and I had to prepare for the birth. She was born at 4:05pm on the 31st of march 2025 she was a stillborn, they couldnβt save her as she was just too underdeveloped, if she had waited one more day they couldβve tried to but cause I was under they werenβt allowed to. The worst part of this you would think would be the birth but it wasnβt, the worst part was when they put me in the maternity ward, so all night I would hear crying babies while I lay next to mine staring at her lifeless that was probably the worst pain I felt just as much as leaving the hospital without my baby, so if I can help in any way shape or form to save future Β babies <3ΒThis November Iβm taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge
Iβll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.
Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.
I gave birth to a little girl at 22 weeks pregnant she was born prematurely and sadly passed away. I think to myself a lot βif only they could do moreβ, so if there is a chance I can help in any way shape or form best believe itβll start here ??Β
