This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge
This November I’ll be joining Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
Our twins were born at 32 weeks and are alive and healthy today due to the equipment and support of the NICU team at King Edward. Almost 1 in 10 babies are born premature every year in Australia and many of them rely on NICU equipment to grow strong enough to go home.
I’m aiming to walk 21km with our twins leading the way and a toddler in tow to raise $1100 to provide advanced resuscitation tools for 20 babies born in distress and needing assistance to breathe. With one baby needing resuscitation at birth and the other in distress I’m forever grateful to the equipment that saved our babies lives.
