This November, I’m running my first half marathon for the Premmie Marathon Challenge!
Six years ago, my daughter Nadia was born prematurely at 28 weeks gestation. She had a birth weight of 1 kilogram and spent 13 weeks in neonatal intensive care. If not for the resources accessible to her at Westmead Children's Hospital, we may not have had the opportunity to bring her home.
The Premmie Marathon Challenge aims to give premature and critically ill babies a better chance of survival by raising funds for life-saving neonatal equipment for Australian Hospitals in need. To help raise funds, I am running my first half marathon at Run Port Stephens on Saturday 22nd November!
I’d love your support to help families like ours, who rely on specialist resources to ensure their babies have a chance of survival.
This year, I’ll be dedicating this run to three special girls and their families! To superstar Mae and the Tew family, to the very resilient Calli and the Cignarella family, and of course, our little trooper Nadia!
