Help us give premature babies a better chance of survival
This November, we are taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that helps give premature babies the best chance of survival.
Our son was born six weeks early and spent around a month between NICU and special care. As first time parents, not being able to hold him after birth or bring him home for weeks was one of the hardest experiences of my life and not what I thought, or planned, my first moments of being a parent to be like.
During our time in NICU and special care, we saw firsthand the incredible work of the nurses and doctors, and met other families facing the same overwhelming experience. We also have friends and colleagues who have experience the same situation.
It made us want to find a way to give back and this challenge feels like one small way we can help.
Every kilometre we run, walk and cycle will be for those tiny fighters and their families, who deserve all the care and support possible in those fragile early weeks.
