Premmie Marathon Challenge 2025

For Daddy's little girl.

Two years ago a on the 13/8/23 little Ellie jane 17.1 weeks early she couldn't wait to come into the world. So small and fragile weighing only 563g. A beautiful girl we were blessed. From day 1 she was a troublemaker kicking off her covers and holding her breathing tube she had all the nurses and staff on watch in the NICU at the Royal Women's hospital. We had absolutely no idea of the world we were stepping into having a premmie baby but we did and as many of us know its not an easy road ahead. Days turned into night hours apon hours sitting beside her while she was in her incubator. Ellie was loved by all mum dad brother's and sister's. Along the journey she had a few hick up like most premmie babys but she was strong she bounced back. We were told by her doctor's when she was born at an early age that she has a 50/50 chance of survival and like any parent being given that news we were taken back from it. Ellie was growing stronger everyday making her milestones the 1kg club then the two she was. But with every good day there was bad ones and we knew them day's would come along and Ellie would come through them like it never happened. Sadly them bad days kept coming and little Ellie kept on trying to be strong but being born so early her little lungs weren't growing fast enough, and we were given the news by her doctor's that she was not going to make it. On the 13/11/23 little Ellie Jane passed away. She was loved by so many who got to know her. Family friends doctor's and staff love her. The little red haired girl in room 2 bed 4 Ellie's place we called it.

That's way I have taken this opportunity to do something in memory of her. By doing this marathon for a cause that means alot not only to me but her whole family who loved her so much

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.

I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.

Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.

Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too! Simply choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies.
