I'm walking 71km to celebrate my baby, Allyra & Tinisha.
On the 6th Nov 2002 I went into early labour with twin girls. I was flown to Townsville where the girls were born almost 16 weeks premature. Tinisha was born first weighing only 750gm and unfortunately she was able to survive due to the complications. Allyra was born weighing only 608gms and was rushed to the NICU as she had no blood flow in her right arm or leg needed immediate care and support. Amputation was an option. Fortunately her blood flow returned and we spent the next few months by her humidity crib. She was so tiny my ring would fit her wrist. We were transferred back to Cairns hospital and finally discharged on their due date 9th of February 2003. Allyra will be 24 on the 6th of November and we are very blessed to have the beautiful healthy lady we have today. Forever greatful for the care and suppot we received in Townsville and Cairns.

Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely.
This November, I'm taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge to give these babies the best chance at life.
The funds I raise will help Running for Premature Babies provide life-saving neonatal equipment for hospitals around Australia, giving premature and critically ill babies the chance to grow stronger and go home with their families.
If you're able to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps fund the equipment and research that gives premature babies a better chance of survival and quality of life.
Thank you for supporting my challenge and helping Australia's tiniest babies. 💜
