Why I joined this fundraiser challenge
My twin daughters, Serilda and Milena, were born Premature - underweight, and unable to regulate their own temperatures, breathing, or feed. My youngest and smallest twin Milena also had a tongue tie, which made feeding even harder for her, requiring her to be tube fed.
Both twins were kept alive and brought back to health and weight and able to make a full recovery to the thriving 18 months old they are now thanks to the incredible SCN care team and life saving neonatal equipment provided.
I donate, and run, to help give other premature and critically ill babies a better chance at life.
Together, our donations fund life-saving neonatal equipment in hospitals across Australia. It's a powerful way to help more families bring their babies home.
Last year, we joined the Premmie Marathon Challenge for the first time in November and helped raise critically needed funds, earning us this medal, and this year we are aiming to go even further with some upcoming events planned in my Take On Your Own Challenge fundraiser in the lead up to this years Marathon.
You can show your support by either donating to or helping in organizing my own fundraiser events, by joining my marathon team, or by making a donation to sponsor my marathon. You can find both fundraisers here:
