Premmie Marathon Challenge 2025

Why I'm running (Moving) for Premmies

My partner and I were shocked to discover during our early ultrasound that we were going to have twins! Later on, to discovered we were going to have the gift of two tiny identical girls.

At my 24-week ultrasound (we had them fortnightly due to the risk of MCDA twins), I was put on bed rest at The Mater Mothers Hospital. To try and prevent them from arriving as long as possible! Six days and plenty of frequent preventative shots and dorky compression socks later, I went into labour.

My extremely tiny, identical twins were born at 24 weeks 6 days. Born at an absurd 660g & 680g. There's no easy way to say that one of our daughters, Alice, passed away shortly after birth... Our pocket rocket, Audrey, is now (almost) 10 and thriving!

Being in the NICU feels like another life, while simultaneously just yesterday. It was a crazy, terrifying experience, and I'm infinitely grateful for the love and care my family received throughout our 101 days in and out of the NICU. If it weren't for the beautiful doctors, nurses, and thanks to the incredible technology in the NICU we wouldn't be standing here so proud.

I'm raising funds for my babies, Alice & Audrey.
And for every future tiny miracle so they can access all they need to thrive!

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.

I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here!  ?

Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help motivate me as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.

Want to join me?
You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge, too! Choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies. ???
