Premmie Marathon Challenge 2025

.running for my two miracles Jett and Huxton

When I look at my two youngest boys today, I see miracles.

Jett was born at just 26 weeks, weighing only 910 grams. He was so small I could hold him in the palm of my hand. Huxton followed at 33 weeks, weighing 2.3kg. Both of them spent their first weeks of life in the care of incredible doctors, nurses and specialists, surrounded by machines and equipment that gave them the best chance to survive and grow strong.

Those days in NICU were some of the hardest of my life. They were filled with worry, exhaustion and the ache of being away from my other children. But they were also filled with hope. Hope that came from the dedication of the staff, the miracles of modern medicine, and the fighting spirit of two little boys who wanted nothing more than to make it home.

And they did. Today, both Jett and Huxton are happy, healthy, thriving kids. I will never stop being grateful for the hospitals, the equipment, and the people who made that possible.

That is why this November I am taking part in the Premmie Marathon Challenge. I have set myself the goal of running 42km and raising $600 to give back. To help fund life-saving neonatal equipment and ensure other babies like mine get the same chance.

Every kilometre I run will be for the tiny fighters still in NICU and the families waiting to bring them home.

I would love your support. If you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation. Your support will keep me motivated and, more importantly, help give premature babies the chance at a healthy future.

Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too. Pick your distance, start clocking your kms, and run for premmie babies alongside me.

Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can give more babies the chance to thrive.
