Premmie Marathon Challenge 2026

I'm walking 71km to celebrate my baby, Hudson.

Hudson was born at 29+1 weeks. Diagnosed with severe IUGR while pregnant, hudson was found to not be growing as expected at his 20 week scan. Frequent scans were had to monitor the blood flow to the uterus and placenta to ensure hudson was safe and growing from then on. At 25 weeks, I was admitted to hospital due to a decrease in placental function, and to be monitored daily. I spend 4 weeks in the Hospital, being monitored every 4 hours, and having an ultrasound every morning to check blood flow and a growth scan every 2 weeks. At 27 weeks he begun showing heart tachycardia and frequent drops, making a CTG another daily requirement to ensure he was still safe in the pregnancy. At 29+1 weeks, i had my growth scan in the morning, showing his growth had stopped, meaning it was time! There were concerns about his heart anatomy, and whether that. Required some attention out of the womb, and this would be monitored once born, but for first things first, we needed to have a c Section to get him out. The doctor was concerned that he would be 620g but turns out he was 750g at birth! My husband during the c section held my hand and reassured me because i was having a panic attack. And before i knew it they were stitching me back up and hudson was here! Hudson remained in the hospital for 3 months while i went home after 3 days after birth. He came home a week after his due date and we couldnt have been happier! While its been a massive year of appointments, The journey continues! Hudson celebrates his First Birthday on the 8the of December 2026! Ill be walking in honour of him and his journey! Thank you in advance to everyone for their support! 💜💜

My Target

71KM

Every day in Australia, 71 babies are born prematurely.

This November, I'm taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge to give these babies the best chance at life.

The funds I raise will help Running for Premature Babies provide life-saving neonatal equipment for hospitals around Australia, giving premature and critically ill babies the chance to grow stronger and go home with their families.

If you're able to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps fund the equipment and research that gives premature babies a better chance of survival and quality of life.

Thank you for supporting my challenge and helping Australia's tiniest babies. 💜
