This year I’ve decided to create a team for the Premmie Marathon Challenge to honour the strength, courage and determination that premature babies show every day.
Tiny feet. Tremendous courage. Every year, thousands of premature babies fight for their first breath — and you can help them take the next step.
I’ve decided to create a team as I have seen, first hand, the importance of life-saving neonatal equipment. My daughter was born at 24 weeks, back in December 2021. She spent 4 months of her life in hospital. The first 53 days were spent on a high frequency ventilator, often needing to go up to Nitric Oxide. Without this equipment, the outcomes of my daughter’s life could have been a lot different.
Not only does this challenge raise funds for the life-saving equipment premature babies need, it also raises awareness about premature babies and the ongoing quality of life they may have. It doesn’t end after we leave hospital.
Please join me in supporting this Charity to raise much needed funds for premature babies. Every cent counts and no donation is too big or too small!
