We’re 1/3 of the way through November, we’ve hit 1/3 of my km’s and now we’ve hit 3 different fundraising goals!!!!! 

Raising the fundraising goal one last time to $5,000 - $1,000 for each week Gus was born early. 

This is definitely an ambitious goal - but I wouldn’t have believed we’d get all the support we already have so I think we can do it!

Smashing fundraising goals!

We are so grateful for all of the donations we've received so far. Since we still have a few weeks of November to go, raising the fundraising goal again - this time to $3,460 (to represent 34+6 weeks gestation, the day Gus was born!)

New Fundraising Goal!

Wow - I can't believe all of the support Gus and I have gotten on Day 1! We are so thankful for our village and we have the best family and friends in the world. 

I'm increasing the fundraising goal to $2,350 - Gus' weight at birth (2.350 kilograms, which wasn't so bad for a guy his age)!

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge for Gus

Eleven months ago, my baby boy Gus was born at 34 weeks and 6 days. The amazing NICU team at Royal North Shore Hospital gave Gus the best care, and we were so lucky to have had the all of the resources and support that we did. I’ll never forget the feeling of leaving the hospital with my baby still in the NICU. So in the month leading up to Gus’ first birthday, I will be fundraising to make sure other families and babies continue to receive the same amazing care as our Gus. 

In honor of my healthy, happy boy, I’ll be clocking up 90 kms over the month of November - 18 kms for each of the 5 weeks Gus was born early. 

I'll be aiming to raise $1,207 in honour of Gus' birthday, December 7th.

$42 - Could provide a jaundiced baby with access to a phototherapy light for 3.5 weeks. Jaundice is very common in premature babies and if left untreated can cause brain damage
