This November I’m taking on the premier marathon challenge.
The picture above is Martau Jnr, he was born at 27 weeks and 3 days weighing 1.365kgs. He was transported immediately to the NICU team at the RBWH where he spent the first 2 months of his life, although that may seem long to some that’s quite a short stay compared to many other premature babies. During these stays our children need many different machines & equipment to help support them while their bodies are still developing and learning to support itself.
Which is why this November I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
