Ayla's Birth

?Ayla's Birth story?

Ayla is our beautiful Miracle Micro Preemie baby girl?born 3 months early at 26weeks weighing 670grams.
Ayla was born via emergency C-section at 26weeks due to mum (myself) having preaclampsia an had been diagnosed with autoimmune diseases during pregnancy.
The emergency C-section was done in May 2018 when mum became unwell an Drs said to keep both of us as safe as possible she had to come early, family was notified of when she would be coming an the next day dad an family came for her birth with dad in the room she was born an taken directly to the NICU in the incubator crib after seeing mum an being told we have a girl (as on ultrasounds she was too wiggly we couldn't find out) off she went with family following ?
We named her the next day!
Ayla P F S
Whilst in hospital she had surgery on her eyes due to the oxygen she was having for her chronic lung diseas.

We spent from May- until her due date In August in one hospital before being transferred to Women's and Children's hospital until November 2018. We were then able to take Ayla home with an oxygen concentrator aswell as cylinders as she still required oxygen full time.

At check ups she later was taken off oxygen support during the day but for bed time required it on.
She was on night time oxygen until March 5th 2020!

She is now a happy energetic 6 year old who is in year 1 at school!!
An absolutely loves racing her Go-kart ?

This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge

I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.

I'd love your support - if you can, please make a generous tax-deductible donation here.

Thank you for your support.
Your donation will help keep me motivated as I complete my challenge through November, knowing that each km I complete is helping save the lives of sick and premature babies.

Fancy joining me? You can sign up for the Premmie Marathon Challenge too! Simply choose your challenge distance and start clocking your kms for premmie babies.
