Baby Jace is the inspiration behind our challenge, he arrived 5 weeks premature and spent time in the Special Care Nursery. While we consider us lucky to have only spent a short time in the special care nursery, it was definitely the toughest thing we’ve ever faced.
We are thinking of the parents of babies born even earlier, those who had long NICU stays, those who are still there and those who never got to bring their little ones home.
We are clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
