? I am Taking Part in the Premmie Walkathon ?

Having MCDA twins meant my pregnancy was considered high risk, we had scans every 1-2 weeks with the MFM specialist team from 8 weeks, private OB specialist appointments every 2 weeks. We knew from early on that our little Finley and Parker would likely arrive sooner than expected. Delivering early was the safest choice for both me and the boys, but it also meant they’d need some time in the SCN/NICU for extra care and monitoring while they grew extra strong. 

We were so lucky that our boys were healthy, but they still needed extra care and monitoring in those first few weeks as they were premmie. Those days were full of mixed emotions, and we’ll always be so grateful for the incredible nurses and doctors who supported us through it all ?

This year I’m taking part in the Premmie Walkathon to give back and help other families who find themselves on a similar journey, but also go through this in ways I wish no one had to. The work these teams do every single day makes such a difference.
