This November I’m taking on the Premmie Marathon Challenge!!!
Our beautiful daughter, Aura was born 10 weeks premature and weighed in at 1.4kgs. She spent over 80 days in NICU at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. Aura was a fighter and each obstacle she was given she fought through and came out the other side. The team at John Hunter were INCREDIBLE. Nothing prepares you for NICU and we are so blessed the day we took our baby girl home and started our ‘normal’ life.
I’m so greatful the tools were available to Aura when she needed them most. I couldn’t imagine a family going through what we did without necessary resources to help guide their baby through NICU.
So this month I’ll be clocking up my kms in the Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise funds for life-saving neonatal equipment that will give critically ill and premature babies a better chance of survival.
