I’m taking part in the Premmie Marathon Challenge

Thank you for supporting ‘Premmie Marathon Challenge’ this November, raising funds for lifesaving neonatal equipment, giving hundreds of premature babies a better chance of survival.

My Achievements

My Updates

Why am I doing this?

Maybe because I need extra motivation to move? Maybe because I’m competitive and when my sister in law says “Let’s do this” I don’t ask too many questions?

Or maybe it’s because like so many people, I have loved ones that were born premature and because of that needed extra support for a time when they were teeny tiny.

It’s D - all of the above... just so you know.

My daughter was born 5 weeks early, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t too dramatic. Apart from some awesome preemie lungs that seem to pick up every cold virus that goes around, she has been quite healthy in her two years.

My niece, Hazel the amazel, was born 9 weeks early and did have quite a few challenges, particularly early on. She spent quite a bit of time in NICU and SCN before being able to come home with her parents.

I vow to move this butt and run 42kms in November for Hazel and for Amelia, two preemie heroes who I love with all my heart.
