I’m taking part in the Premmie Marathon Challenge
Being a dad of 2 beautiful premmie girls I have decided to take part in running for premature babies this November to raise money for much needed equipment and research.
This is something I knew nothing about before my first daughter Lilah was born at 27 weeks weighing 1055gms. Her journey seemed long at the time but was relatively straight forward. 5 years on we have spent most of 2020 in hospital with our second daughter Mahlia with no end in sight, she has had a very rough journey born at 24 weeks weighing 420gms and continues to overcome multiple surgeries and complications with her strength and courage.
These premmie babies are put through so much but they are amazingly strong and resilliant. The equipment needed to keep them alive and give them a chance at life comes at a huge cost so i would like to raise funds to help all these little hero's.
Thank you for supporting ‘Premmie Marathon Challenge’ this November, raising funds for urgently needed lifesaving humidicribs for the Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney, and the Alice Springs Hospital neonatal units, giving hundreds of premature babies a better chance of survival.
